Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 May 2026

This page explains every cookie that arxyne.com may set, why, how long it lasts, and how to turn it on or off. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers what we do with the data those cookies feed.

The short version

We use one set of cookies, and only if you allow it: Google Analytics for understanding which pages people read. Until you click Accept analytics on the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no Google scripts run. You can change your mind at any time using the buttons below or the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Cookies we may set

Name Purpose Provider Lifetime Category
_ga Distinguishes unique users (Google Analytics 4). Google LLC 13 months Analytics — opt-in
_ga_L2KSD72508 Maintains session state for the GA4 property. Google LLC 13 months Analytics — opt-in

How we remember your choice

Your consent decision itself is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key arxyne_consent_v1. This is not a cookie — it stays on your device and is never sent to a server.

What happens if you reject

The Google Analytics script is never loaded, no _ga* cookies are set, and your visit is invisible to us beyond the short-lived server logs our hosting provider keeps for security. The site works exactly the same.

Strictly necessary?

Arxyne.com sets no strictly-necessary cookies of its own. Third-party assets (the Inter web font from Google Fonts and the logo/architecture SVGs from GitHub) do not set cookies in the browser, though those providers may log the request server-side.

Changes

If we add a new category of cookie, we will update this page and re-prompt for consent before anything new is set.
